Fall Wreath

This is a wreath I made by using an old centerpiece I had from last fall (2010). It was a candle with this leaves/vines wrapped around it.  I cut a circle out of cardboard and hot glued the leaves onto it.  Dont know why I never shared this fall craft, just found the pictures while cleaning out the photos on the computer!

Obsession

A while ago I posted on here about my obsession with the color gray lately. Two bedrooms are accented in gray right now (one gray/blue and one gray/purple). I am over the purple. The color was (of course) an oops paint and it is more of a kids purple. I am going to keep the dark gray wall and paint the other three a really light gray (using left over white and gray paint mixed together) that way I can accent with which ever color I am in the mood for. As of now, that color is yellow.

I have been dreaming of yellow/gray color scheme for my bathroom/bedroom and yesterday at Lowes I came across an oops paint of really light yellow, the color I had been waiting to find! So I snatched it up and started painting! One coat down. I will need three because the bathroom was a dark maroon color. It already looks so much lighter and brighter! Hopefully will have some pictures of the real thing soon, but until then...

Missing

I have been absent from the blog world this month!! I need to fix that! To much work/friend time =)

Here is the wreath that I made. I made it, it took forever.  We loved it. I hung it up (on a hook that has a sticky back) and it fell, and of course broke :( I have to replace 2 bulbs which is why it is leaning against the wall and not hanging! Also, you can see my (empty) "Christmas/Winter Theme", I need to get crafting!

Soon I will be able to share all the gifts that I made!! One week until Christmas!!

Happy Anniversary!!

Kevin and I celebrated our 1st Anniversary today! We actually celebrated yesterday. We went to Golden, CO and Denver for the day/night. It was really nice to get out of town. We were dreaming of being on the beach in St. Croix like last year! That was the best vacation.

Kevin spent the day watching football. My friend Abby came over for some coffee and I went with her to finish up some of her Christmas shopping, and then came home to work on mine! I am almost done!! Thank God, although it was fun making them... I have spent SO much time on them! I am loving every single one and cant wait to give them away!! (and blog about them finally!!)

I did a few crafts around the house too. Ill post them now!

Hello!

I haven't been able to post all the projects that are keeping me busy because they are presents! I really wish I could share them because I love them so much! I am almost done with all of them (thankfully!). I have projects going all over my house!

I have made a few crafty things for myself along the way. I made my Christmas cards to send out this year. I made a ornament wreath that I LOVE. Tonight I made lots of cookies (120) for a bake sale and cookie exchange at work.

We are also working on a very BIG project that I (maybe) will be waiting until the end to share with you! I don't know if I can wait that long. We hopefully will be done with it around New Years.

I will have a few posts for you this week. =)

Ornaments

I have started making Christmas ornaments! I still have one more ornament project to come maybe one day this week....

I made these first ones of the puppies with their pictures inside a glass ornament, added some ribbon and a little decoration inside too.

I made these ones for Kevin and I with some foam letters I found on clearance for .35 cents each at Hobby Lobby a while ago.

Here are a few ornaments that I love, a few from our wedding and some from when I was young from my mom! I love having them on my tree, our tree is pretty full! =)

Angel

I made the angel for our tree today! We didn't have one. I was at the Dollar Store today getting a few cleaning supplies and browsing through the Christmas things. I was looking for a star or angel and they didn't have anything nice, just a few cheapo stars. I got to thinking about it and figured it couldn't be that hard to make my own! While at the Dollar Store, I picked up a barbie doll, some white and silver ribbon, and a butterfly ornament. $3 seems like a good deal to me for a Christmas Angel!

I used a thin piece of cardboard (actually a Bed Bath and Beyond coupon that came in the mail). Bended and cut it to fit around her waist. Trimmed the end to make it even. Started wrapping the ribbon from the bottom all the way up to the top and around her, using hot glue to attach to the dress form. Cut the ribbon in small strips to make "straps" for her dress. I took the metal clip off the butterfly ornament, and glued it to her back. The antenna of the butterfly ornament was perfect for a little halo for her! And then we stuck her on the tree! She looks beautiful up there!! I will take some better pictures in the daylight tomorrow. These pictures don't do her justice! (Please ignore her scary make up job! haha I had to take what I could get)

Knife Block Make-over

I thought the knife block looked fine before. I was just bored, and wanted something to do! I had to choose between the gray/silver "hammered metal" look, or my favorite 'Wildflower Blue' spray paint that I had on had. Since the knives are red, I went with the hammered metal. Added a monogram with the borrowed cricut which I am having to return to my friend soon (getting lots of use out of it!).. and that's it! The color is actually lighter than what is in the pictures, the lighting is bad right now.
